DESCRIPTION
This component is ideally suited to adding Bluetooth to your project. This is the HC-05 module which can be configured to operate as a master or slave. This allows you to build in wireless communication and control, operating remote lights or receiving data from separate sensors across the room.
As with most Bluetooth based chips, the module can be configured with AT commands. As an entry level module you have access to 4 of them; communication test, name change, baud rate change and password changing. This range although small provides powerful options for configuration that will be suitable for most Bluetooth projects.
The pins are suited to sitting in a prototyping board such as the MB-102 which feature standard sockets with a pin pitch of 2.54mm. The module has a status LED that will change depending on its state.
