DESCRIPTION
A corner radius end mill cutter or bull nose end mill will generate a radius at the bottom of a milled shoulder. They are used for plunging, grooving, side milling, face milling and counter boring. This array of uses makes them extremely versatile and it will come as no surprise that these are one of the most popular end mill across the machining industry. The corner radius provides a stronger milling edge than a square type end mill, this allows for increased feed rates and a longer tool life.
The end mill is suited to materials up to a hardness of 68°, which includes hardened steel, composite materials, glass reinforced plastic etc.
A nano composite coating allows for sharp edges that resist erosion in high temperature machining, extending the lifetime of a tool by 3 to 10 times over an uncoated one.
