This shield gives your Arduino access to all those USB devices. This in reality gives you access to all manner of devices from PC mice to USB scales. Allowing for projects to feature more complex interfaces which are somewhat harder to implement traditionally.
The shield is compatible with the USB host shield library that is available in the Arduino IDE.
