DESCRIPTION
This is a kit that once complete provides a prototyping shield for the Arduino UNO. This is a DIY kit and as such will arrive unsoldered. The kit makes ideal practice for hand soldering with clear solder pads and an easy to read circuit board. Please note that this kit contains SMD components. These are typically seen as complex components to hand solder as such previous soldering experience is recommended.
This set is ideally suited to allowing you to prototype a circuit onto a shield by providing all the connections on an Arduino UNO and those with a similar footprint, which feature standard sockets with a pin pitch of 2.54mm. The shield is solidly constructed to allow repeated use once attached to a circuit board. All the provided breakouts are well labelled to really help with those prototyping debugs that occur so often.
A large area of solder points is available in the central area for longer term prototypes to be soldered onto. Furthermore an 14pin SMD chipset region allows you to attach smaller packages for use in your builds.
