DESCRIPTION
This is a kit that once complete will allow you to add a proximity card reader to your project. The onboard chipset can store up to 25 64 bit encrypted tags or more in a lower security form. A pair of of card type tags are included, but more can be added to the set by following the included instructions. The antenna coil can be snapped off to allow it to be mounted away from the control board. You can see this being useful for doors, fences, gates, etc. This can be used for wider applications such as to arm/disarm security systems, prevent unauthorised use of equipment, machinery, computer systems and of course automate cat doors...
The kit easily allows the addition and removal of tags, two of which are supplied in the kit. The kit can trigger a timer of 0.5s to 4min or toggle (ON/OFF), furthermore the coil can be mounted away from the board (up to 5m) for higher security.
This is a DIY kit and as such will arrive unsoldered. The kit makes ideal practice for hand soldering with clear solder pads and an easy to read circuit board.
