This shield is ideally suited to data dependant projects. The shield combines the function of an real time clock and SD card module. Where the SD card module can be used to store and retrieve large ranges of data. While the RTC provides a method of keeping track of time even following reprogramming or loss of power.
The shield is designed to fit above a standard arrangement Arduino UNO, however can be made to work with other microcontrollers.
